XL Emma's S.A.M.E Diet - M = Moderation!

Okay...this is REALLY straightforward and the area of my life that has changed so much.

In my late teens/early twenties, food was my enemy! It made me fat, it comforted me when I was sad, it comforted me when I was stressed, it comforted me when I was happy, it ruled my thinking 24 hours a day, it involved counting calories, sins, units, points and it also involved some not very nice experiences - IT WAS A LIVING NIGHTMARE!

Now, food is fuel for my body, I enjoy it, I don't see it as anything other than good for me physically and mentally. If I want something I will have it and if I don't I won't. By the way I'm still fat but fit, happy and healthy!

DON'T DENY YOURSELF ANYTHING BUT DON'T EAT ANYTHING IN EXCESS - MODERATION IS THE KEY!

XL Emma's Simple Nutrition & Eating Tips:

1. Drink plenty of water throughout every day - for something so simple you get so many benefits!

2. Eat 5 a day fruit and veg portions - not only for vitamins and minerals but essential fibre!

3. Cut down on the amount of processed food you eat - if it comes in  a packet then it its processed!

4. Dont feel the need to always clear up your plate - this is a habit you develop if you have been on lots of diets and every bit of food counts! If you are full, then stop!

5. If you want it then have it! If you dont want it then dont - try not to eat for the sake of eating or because it is a certain time of the day. Listen to your body.....
