XL Emma In The Media!

Emma is keen to promote at any opportunity the multiple benefits of being fit, happy and healthy regardless of your weight, shape or size and therefore takes every opportunity to promote her message in the media with the hope that subsequently she will reach as many overweight people as possible and help support them in  overcoming any negativity, low self-esteem or poor health that may be associated with their weight.

Emma's exercise class  was featured on an NHS website - www.nhs.ukUnfortunately Emma was a little disappointed as the film seemed to emphasise weight loss and this is not Emma's ethos! EMMA WOULD LIKE TO REITERATE SHE DOES NOT ADVOCATE DIETING OR UNREALISTIC WEIGHT-LOSS PROGRAMMES!

Emma appeared in an article in the Daily Mirror entitled We Won't Go On Diets talking about women who have based their careers around the fact they are larger!

Emma was interviewed and photographed for an article in the Guardian newspaper entitled Fat Is The Question. A positive piece about Emma as a fitness instructor and a plus size model named Charlotte Coyle who Emma has admired for some time as a positive role model to larger ladies.

Emma's story of how she became a plus size fitness instructor was featured in Full House Magazine.

Emma appeared in an article in the Sunday Mirror newspaper entitled "Who Is Fittest...Can You Guess?". Emma had her fitness tested in laboratory conditions alongside ladies with varying body mass indexes (underweight - obese) and came out on top!

Emma took part in a radio debate for BBC Radio Wales alongside Dr Ian Campbell (obesity specialist) on the subject of "Being Overweight May Not Be As Dangerous As Generally Portrayed?".

Emma's size 16+ only exercise class in Bridgwater was filmed as part of an ITV regional documentary series called "Britain On The Move". Emma was also interviewed for the documentary.

2003 - 2007
Emma was the resident fitness instructor on BBC Somerset Sound radio with a weekly health & fitness slot!

2002
Emma appeared on BBC's Kilroy as a member of the debating audience on a programme entitled "Should Obesity Be Treated On The NHS".

2001
Emma appeared on ITV's Trisha as an expert contributor on a programme about weight & self-esteem.
